Star International High School has successfully commenced the 6th Exchange Student Programme with one of its sister schools located in Turkey. Five learners who were academically successful during the course of the year, namely Yahyaa Ismail, Moegammad Taariq Jacobs, Nur Muhammad Leonard, Ammaar Maneveld and Suhayb Ahmed Natha with the guidance of their Maths teacher Mr. Ali Mahmut Batir departed from Cape Town International Airport on 6 November 2013 via the best airline company of Europe, Turkish Airlines.
Star learners are going to study at this sister school for 2 months, which is in Malatya known with its delicious apricots and engage with Turkish culture and hospitality. They are going to be hosted in the hostel of this school and be spoiled with delicious Turkish food. The boys were very excited for having such a beautiful, exciting and educational experience starting with a 2-day trip in Istanbul. Incidentally, they are going to experience a snowy winter in Turkey.
Parents were proud of their sons’ success of being selected for this programme. They believe that this international and multi-cultural experience is going to contribute a lot to the boys’ self-esteem and confidence. They will hopefully return full of joy, bringing gifts and of course some Turkish delight. As the admin of Star International we wish them a delightful stay in Turkey.
