The curious cubs extra mural is offered to all Foundation Phase Learners from Grades R to 3. Its aim is to expose learners to the interesting and fun- filled world around them, by introducing them to scientific concepts, using experiments that takes place in the everyday world around us. This tailored program is designed to stimulate the learners’ curiosity for the natural world around them and to enable the learners to practice their skills in exploration, questioning and observation.
The Helen O’Grady Drama Academy
The Helen O’Grady Drama Academy conducts classes AT OUR SCHOOL AS PART OF THE Life Skills Programme, during school hours .The Academy’s extensive international drama curriculum is used exclusively in the classrooms which focuses on:

- On-going confidence
- Self esteem
- Skill in verbal communication
- Effective social interaction
- Performance skills
Ashihara Karate International
Ashihara Karate International does our Foundation Phase extra murals at our school. Featured here are some of our Grade 1 learners enjoying a session of karate. The karate classes promote self-discipline, agility, balance, co-ordination, self- confidence, and some basic defence skills. But most importantly, it is fun! After all, if they don’t enjoy it, they won’t learn it.
SA sports sport academy does our schools sport coaching . The following sport codes are offered at our school.
soccer, cricket, netball, table tennis and volleyball. Saturday classes are also offered for Table tennis and Volleyball at an additional cost. Our learners plays against other clubs and our school plays soccer, netball and volleyball for league.
Playball-Life Skills and Extra Mural
For Grade R’s and 1’s Playball is incorporated into our life skills programme. The Grade 2’s and 3’s playball is offered to them as an extra mural activity. The holistic approach of playball encourages the ongoing development of Social awareness (Teamwork, Tolerance and Patience, Communication and Sportsmanship.) Emotional Aweness (Self Respect, Self-Acceptance, overcoming Failures , Positive Attitude, Work Ethics and Self-Worth )Cognitive Skill, ( Goal Setting, Observation Skills, Acknowledging best Effort, Discipline and Decision Making)
